Our Mission
A spirited tournament, built on community giving
The Annual Jeffrey Brady and Harrison Phillips Bocce Tournament at Solé at Woodlawn Beach is a popular summer event supporting the Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Fund and Harrison’s Playmakers. Featuring a high community turnout, the tournament brings residents together to raise money for charity, with the 2025 event taking place in late September.

Named in honor of Jeffrey Brady and Harrison Phillips, this annual bocce tournament has grown into one of Western New York’s most beloved community events. Held each fall at Solé at Woodlawn Beach, the tournament draws participants and spectators from across the region for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and charitable giving.
All proceeds from the tournament benefit two organizations at the heart of WNY community life: the Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Fund and Harrison’s Playmakers, a program dedicated to supporting community programs and enriching the lives of those it serves.

Every dollar raised at the Jeffrey Brady and Harrison Phillips Bocce Tournament is split between two organizations that have made a meaningful difference in Western New York.
Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Fund
Established in 1995, the fund has awarded over $1.3 million in scholarships and donations to WNY student athletes and community organizations. Proceeds help fund annual scholarship awards to student-athlete wrestlers who demonstrate academic achievement, athletic excellence, and community involvement.
Harrison’s Playmakers
Harrison’s Playmakers supports community programs dedicated to enriching lives across Western New York. The tournament is named in part after Harrison Phillips, reflecting his commitment to giving back to the community he calls home.
